Over the past few years I've had similar experiences with multiple local businesses — broken links, difficulty locating via Google search, or redirects to Facebook. I quickly realized what was happening.
Somebody built them a site, took the money, and vanished. Two years later the plugins are eight versions behind, the SSL certificate has expired, the contact form quietly stopped sending email, and nobody noticed because nobody was looking.
That's not a technology problem. It's a nobody-owns-it problem. So I built a business where one person owns it — hosting, security, backups, updates, Google, the whole thing.
No account managers. No ticket portal. You text me. I fix it. The business flourishes.
Everything else is noise.
